Focal Area: Political consciousness and critical thinking

मैत्रेयी is a forum of students of the Department of Political Science which aims to carve creative outlets to raise political consciousness on issues plaguing Indian society among students. The forum aims to amplify confidence and provide a platform for deliberation, cognition and vibrant opinions and enhance the collective ability and co-produce knowledge on existing national and international political issues. The forum engages students in discussion to encourage dialogue, ideas and thoughts. The objectives are:

• To engage in discussion, to encourage dialogue, ideas and thoughts and to spread awareness on contemporary issues.
• To emphasis on nurturing character, personality, life values and vocational skills. To raise political consciousness on issues plaguing Indian society.

• Elocution Competition (22.09.2022 )
• Celebration of National Youth Day (12.01. 2023) by conducting events such as Speech, Quiz, Documentary show
• National Voters’ Day (23.01.2023)
